We had good intentions of cleaning out the basement on one of the pretty weekend days, but instead this happened...
She had the best time running after the kite! We definitely will be using kites more often. It turned out to be one of the best Sunday afternoons we have had in awhile...
This is what Sam Nolan and I did while we were watching Delaney and Daddy...
This look make me wonder if he thinks it's not fair that they get to play and he doesn't. But one day he'll be running, too... :)

Just because.
Just because I think we have the cutest babies in the world...
I decided to take some pictures of Sam Nolan playing on Delaney's beanbag (without her being around to tell him that it's hers).
He soon told me it was time to put the camera down...
On the other hand, Delaney told me to put the camera on her. This morning I took some pictures of Delaney in her new outfit. The whole outfit was only $17.00! I think that's pretty good considering I paid for a lady to ruffle the jeans with the cute fabric!
For some reason, she looks so much older in these pictures. In fact, I think I may put her hair in pigtails a lot more than I do. She's still my baby, but her little personality really comes out when the camera in on!
Although this is a pose, it reminds me of how she looks sometimes during her "terrible two" moments! :)

Stay-at-home fun!
I'm absolutely loving being able to take advantage of staying at home by coming up with something fun for Delaney and I to do. Sam Nolan will have to join us in the future since his favorite thing to do it eat and sleep. I recently found a list of things that sound easy and cheap for kids to do on pinterest, and I was eager to see how she reacted to the first activity...messy cooking! I had also read where the parents led their child to the activity with toilet paper. So here is my attempt to lead her to our activity after a nap:
If you know me, you know that I throw almost everything away. So it was hard to find many ingredients to use in our recipe. But, I will definitely be keeping items that I know we can use in the future.
She had the best time stirring and combining and stirring and tasting (yuck!)...
Her favorite thing to do was add water using a new, empty soap dispenser I had purchased for another craft (but haven't managed to get to yet)...
Her favorite ingredient was the grits. The consistency was really fun for her to stir. *Ignore the cake on her mouth. We had to eat a little snack while we were cooking...
The finished product. We call it "Dora food."

One Month!
Here is the big boy wearing his cute one month sticker... (Thanks, Ashley!)
And just to compare the two, here is Delaney at one month old. They look very different!

This is why we call them "Sweet Cheeks"
For this reason alone, I call my little boy "Sweet Cheeks."
Sam Nolan is one month old now, and we couldn't be more blessed...
He's as precious on the inside as he is on the outside...
And it sure doesn't hurt that he has already picked the right team. :)

Will you be my Valentine??
Last week, I was able to join Delaney to celebrate Valentine's Day early at JCA. We had so much fun! This is her typical "shy face."
But then eating is involved, and we all know she enjoys that.
This morning (actually Valentine's Day), we surprised Sam Nolan and Delaney with balloons and treats. They both were very excited, as you can tell by Sam Nolan's expression. Sam Nolan's first Valentine's Day experience was a little more laid back than Delaney's, but he definitely enjoyed looking at his treats.
Our little teddy bear with his little teddy bear...
Today, Sam Nolan is 4 weeks old. He has started to really move his head and lift it as much as possible. He is still sleeping 2 1/2 to 3 hour spans during the night, but during the day he is staying awake more and more.
Delaney makes me laugh out loud atleast once or twice everyday. Yesterday morning, she told me, "Mommy, I am soo cute! Aren't I?" I said, "Yes, baby, yes you are." :) Today, I am picking her up to take both of my Valentine's babies to lunch (although Sam Nolan will just get a good bottle). Of all the places I asked Delaney if she wanted to go, she said, "Sonic to get a chocolate milkshake." (Just like her mommy!!) And here is a picture of our little wild thing, of course, being wild thing...

Talking without Looking
Sam Nolan makes the FUNNIEST faces...
Without even opening an eye...
And he's ready to be sociable...
This is a much different personality than we are accustomed to in the Roberts' household. Delaney is busy making conversation with everyone, and two different conversations made me and Eric laugh recently.
Funny Delaney #1:
Me: What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?
Delaney: Cooking
Eric: We wish, Delaney. We wish. (Funny guy)
Me: What is Daddy's favorite thing to do?
Delaney: Clean. (This is funny because Eric has been cleaning a lot lately since I haven't been able to)
Me: What is your favorite thing to do?
Delaney: Read books
Me: What is Sam Nolan's favorite thing to do?
Delaney: Sleep.
*Such a cute conversation that I wanted to share.
Then, she gets into Mommy's jewelry...
Sam Nolan just takes it all in...
Funny Delaney #2: Nannie has been promising her that when she finally goes #2 in the potty (instead of in her pull-up), then she'd finally be able to go to Disney World. This promise seemed pretty good to me because it didn't look like Delaney was going to do her end of the deal anytime soon. This morning Eric took Delaney to the potty when she said she needed to go, and she ended up going #2. When she did, the first thing she exclaimed was, "Can we go to Disney World now??!! Uh oh.
