We also bought a journal for her to keep at home to work on handwriting. Here are 2 she wrote yesterday:
"My daddy is the best. He helps me do cartwheels."
We have started cheernastics and all she wants to do are cartwheels! She is absolutely the funniest little girl I know. She recently went to the Nutcracker with KK, Memaw, Nana, Nannie, and LB and had a blast! She told me she ate all this yummy food including "Black guy peas (black-eyed peas)". Haha!
Sam Nolan is funny in a different way. He will spontaneously dance in a restaurant, take his guitar and do an "Elvis" move, and say "poopoo" about everything...potty humor. :) He remembers everything and loves to play with D. He is definitely a clown at home, but not at school! He is like his sister. Very shy, and doesn't like to get into trouble...at school. It could be worse.
Here is the schedule we have right now (SN-2 years D-5 years):
6:30-wake up, get D ready, make breakfast (a dry bagel counts as breakfast, right?)
7:00ish- out the door and drop D off at school at 7:20ish
7:40-back at home and get SN ready, take a bath (finally!), pack his lunch, watch cartoons and get back out the door on M, W, Fri. for MDO.
9:00-drop off SN is it's MDO.
If it's MDO, I am able to grocery shop, clean, edit pictures (that's mostly what I do), and run errands. Sometimes, I volunteer at D's school or eat lunch with her.
It it's NOT MDO, I am cleaning, running around, telling SN to stop running :), editing pictures in between running, etc.
1:00 pick SN back up from MDO.
At 1:40 (12:40 on Mondays), I am back in line at car line to get D. We sit there for one hour until it's time for dismissal. FULL day. It's a full day of "nothing" but I promise I'm constantly doing something! If I'm not getting on to SN, then this little dude is doing something...
D and SN call him my "3rd child" and, honestly, he acts like one. He is always up to something. Good thing he's cute. Seriously.
So what else have we been up to lately? Here are some phone pics that I've take over the past few months. It's pretty much what we do all the time. Typical Roberts family stuff. And me with no make-up, yes, I am that mom.
Carline
Grocery shopping. Hah!Buying inflatables that are tacky, but fun!
Getting to eat lunch with my babies!
MORE car line fun!
What else do people do to pass the time with a 2 year old in a car for an hour??!!
To prepare for the holiday season, we were able to get our Christmas card pictures made early. Thank goodness! Here are a few that I love.
For Thanksgiving this year, we tried to get some pictures made at Nannie and Pop's house of Memaw, parents, the kids, etc. but SN wouldn't cooperate. So he isn't pictured. :) Here are a few of those:
Santa came to my studio and the kids were able to visit with him, too!
These are NOT edited, so you see my backdrop in several. :)
They love getting to visit with Santa one-on-one, so I'm glad I get to do this special tradition with them each year. :)
Here are some fun (and funny) "cookies and milk" pictures. Again, NOT edited.
That's all for today. :)
