Introducing our Newest Addition and New Blog

Although this post is a little late, I decided to introduce our newest addition on our brand new blog! We needed a name that would grow with any additions to our family, along with the fact that I had almost reached the picture limit on my other blog. "Sweet Cheeks" seems to be a name that will fit our babies perfectly. :)
Onto the news...September 1st, 2011, Eric and I were shocked and excited about finding out we will be having a boy!! Oh boy! Here are two of the pictures that were taken during the ultrasound. I decided to spare you the pictures that "proved" he was a boy. :) FYI- If you're not familiar with ultrasound pictures, they do look a little like alien pics, but you're looking at his face and belly. He's looking directly into the camera. SOO photogenic...
The story of Sam: On the way to the ultrasound, Eric and I finally "went there" and talked about which one we thought it might be. We went on to discuss what we would do, plans that would be made, etc. (the list goes on and on). We hadn't previously talked about it much, only because we didn't want "it" (whatever it was) to ever feel bad about whatever it may be. Secretly, I think we both wanted a boy, but I was pretty convinced "it" was a girl.
When we arrived into the ultrasound, it seemed like forever for the lady to get all the measurements, weights, etc. that she needed for the doctor. When she turned the screen for me to see, she explained the lines and faint shadows that no one ever understands, but then she finally told us the words that would forever change our family...It's a BOY!!
Of course I had to look at Eric's face. He had the biggest smile I had ever seen. I, of course, was crying happy tears just like I always do when I see my sweet baby's face on the screen. We were both speechless. Samuel Nolan Roberts "Sam Nolan" will also be welcomed by his big sister, Delaney, who was happy about having a "little brother," but was thrilled to go to Logan's steakhouse when we picked her up at JCA.
Pregnancy Update:  I recently found at (20 weeks) that I have a low placenta placement, or "placenta previa." This means that I will be re-examined with an ultrasound at 28 weeks to make sure that I can continue normally with the pregnancy. If the placenta doesn't rise before then, I will more than likely be put on bedrest and other situtations may arise. We are praying that the placenta gets into a position where Sam will be safe from any more complications.

And from one cute Bama fan to another...
