Huntsville getaway

Me, the kids, and Nannie went for a getaway this weekend to Huntsville. It was fun to be able to relax with my two big kids!

After a lot of swimming, we went to a place called Bravo where they were able to put little pizza desserts in the brick oven!

Then we walked to the outdoor mall from our hotel and rode th carousel. I love that Delaney doesn’t feel too old for this yet. It made me tear up to think about my little girl not wanting to do these kinds of thing anymore soon.

We ate a great breakfast the next morning!

Then we went off on an adventure to the animal safari. I have never laughed so hard! Sam Nolan had me rolling the whole time with his high pitched squeals was the animals would come in the window. He was scared of the ostrich pecking him, but the big animals didn’t bother him at all.

There was animal slobber and food everywhere, but it was so worth it!

We had a great time just being together!!

CeCe’s new talent

Pointing!!

Let them eat cake-or not

Miss Kimberly to do a “mock cake smash” with some of D’s homemade cake. :) CeCe liked it...Shep not so much. Hoping one more month will change his mind. :)

11 months old

Well, this is what they gave on their actual 11 month birthday! This is really hard to do now that they are all over the place!

The next day, we tried again! It’s definitely a two-man job!

CeCe has 5 teeth! She is really talking a lot more now and pointing all the time. She loves to cuddle and be as close as possible to whoever is holding her. She preferred a blanket when napping and doesn’t like to be told “no.” She is easily upset when something doesn’t go her way, like a toy being taken by Shep or someone walking in and NOT picking her up. She is still out tiny princess, but she can stand up assisted better than Shep right now!

She still doesn’t laugh a lot, but when she does, it’s the sweetest sound. Love her little smile!

Shep. He’s still a fun, laid back, big ol’ teddy bear! He keeps us laughing and is always up for a dance. He doesn’t mind when his sister takes a toy, but doesn’t like for anyone to eat in front of him. :) He has 6 teeth and uses them to eat crackers, muffins and bananas. He does NOT like cake (in next post). He just started to crawl (not a usually occurrence), but I think he is almost fully mobile. He also says “bye-bye” and “uh-oh” when copying.

End of summer fun!

First, I took D and Stella to Starbucks before our fun day!
Urban air!

These two loved pretending like they were 16 and driving. :)

Love their sweet friendship!
Next up, Sam Nolan and Ross!

Same place, different day!

Slushees to end their adventure!
