CeCe and Shep turn one Pt. 2

CeCe helping Delaney open gifts.

We had fun naming the food after stars and moon terminology.

Delaney hung her pictures for decoration.

The sweetest babysitter in the world and her precious fiancĂ© came to the party! CeCe and Shep absolutely LOVE their Kimberly and Sam! ❤️
Cake!!!

It doesn’t seem like a year since we were taking this picture after going through the NICU journey. Today, we are thanking God for four beautiful, healthy, and happy children that have made us who we are today. ❤️

CeCe and Shep turn one Pt.1

Delaney and I had the best time coming up with ideas for their party. We had their party on the day after their bday (Nannie’s bday). We ordered stars and moon lights and hung pictures of the babies first bday session around the shelves.

We also hung these super cute Star lights on the
mantle to go with the silver and white color scheme.

For the food, we ordered Full Moon since the babies can eat potatoe salad, beans, and tiny bits of barbecue....and cookies. It was nice to celebrate the two that have changed our world.
We certainly never expected to have 4 children and our lives look completely different than we could have imagined. God had a plan and knew exactly what we needed. He has given us the most precious gifts. These two have completed our family and filled our hearts with happiness. We have begun to learn a new level of patience and grace through this journey with twins. We are forever grateful. The pictures I take these days look a lot more imperfect than before, but we are learning to be perfectly happy with that.

Our Shep. Sheppy. Sheppy baby. Big Hoss. He’s a ham and loves to dance. We adore his happy disposition and giggly personality. He loves everything and most every food. His favorites include Mac and cheese, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, and ice cream. He knows how to pucker his lip to get what he wants, and I can’t resist. When we visit Memaw in the nursing home, he is the one who will sit still on her lap and gaze back at her. He warms our hearts for sure.

Celia. CeCe. CeCe bear. CeCe girl. Kitty. She is our quiet princess. She doesn’t like strangers and will let you know exactly how she feels, good or bad. Her face doesn’t lie and will turn so splotchy when she’s upset. She loves to get close and give kisses when you hold her. She loves bread, crackers, and anything she can pick up with her hands. She is cruising on the couch, and will pick herself up on her ride along. She loves the wind from the air vents and thinks it’s funny. Her sweet smile and tiny features own me. My CeCe love.

One year cake smash pictures

We had first year photos taken by Johanna Cosby, but CeCe’s outfit didn’t come in u til the day after, so I wanted to get in one picture with her in this handmade stars romper! It was adorable, and perfect for their “Love you more than the moon and all the stars” theme. It started out pretty well! Mom and I took them to what was supposed to be a quick, easy session.

After about an hour of corralling the babies, feeding and crying, and attempting to get a together pic of them happy and smiling, it never happened. So we went ahead and did a cake smash, which ended super fast and horribly. I never want my tiny cabooses to ever feel that we didn’t do what we did for the others. So, we went above and beyond. So I guess mission accomplished. :)

Not interested.

Super sticky, tired, and over it. How we all felt at the end.
