Halloween 2011 Part 1

Eric was able to go to Delaney's Halloween party at JCA.  He took some really great pictures (because he knew I'd be upset if he didn't), and I have to say I was pretty impressed. :) He took too many to post them all, so I tried to find the ones that summed up the party experience.
 Always loves the eating...:)

I'm thinking Eric was probably telling her to smile, and this is the face she made...
Yay for parties..

Eric had all the kiddies running around...

 Sweet hugs...

And this is how it ended..:)

Fall Break with Family

For our fall break/Mommy's birthday we traveled down to Daphne to visit Mary Beth and Kenny.  We called it the "beach," which Delaney wouldn't stop talking about the whole week before we left.  We packed our bags, every Dora dvd we could find, and traveled down without much fussing!! When we arrived, Delaney couldn't wait to get in the pool.

Then, we decided to go see the water...
 and take some pictures...
The next day, we woke up and did some shopping at the outlets. This is where we found Delaney to be most happy...

And then every other riding toy we could find we HAD to stop...

At night, we had a wonderful dinner while watching the sunset...

The next morning, we woke up to eat breakfast (where she LOVED the eggs)...
We fed the ducks at the park...

We were able to walk right up to them.

Finally, we made a stop at the Fairhope park to get our energy out before the long ride home...

We had such a wonderful time!!
When I got home, I didn't think it could get much better. But then I saw this...
KK and Memaw had transformed our dull, boring backporch into a beautiful back porch...
I love having crafty family members.:) (FYI- the table/chairs were a gross green color before)...

We will definitely be enjoying it for a long time...

Irondale Festival 2011

Irondale's Fall Festival is one of our favorites...
One reason we love it is because we can look at all the trains (fake and real)...
But the main reason is because of this...

We can't get enough of jumping with everybody...
 or just by ourself...

The weather is beautiful, and we are enjoying every bit of it! In order to stay clean from all our play time at festivals, we must not forget our bath...
or a brush...(Don't worry, I am going to learn how to do sponge rollers soon :)

Our favorite part remains to be brushing our teeth...
The next morning, we are ready to get out and do it all over again. We love spending our October days playing outside and riding our car...

And dragging out every other car in our "parking lot."

But mostly, we are ready for Halloween!!
and all of the sweet stuff that comes with it. :)
Cute things Delaney is doing at 2 1/2 years old:
-Having conversations about Sam Nolan and how she informs us she will NOT be sharing her bouncy chair (which she is using as a tv chair now)
-She loves getting bubble baths with mommy and "cleaning" my back with her rag.
-She has such good manners! She always says "please" "thank you" and "bless you". I love to see her using her manners at restaurants and with friends/family. I am so proud!
-She dances and shakes her "booty" when she's excited.
-She knows she needs her bow when we put her hair up in the morning.
-She thinks we're always going to "Target" when I tell her we're going shopping.
-Her favorite foods are still mashed potatoes, chicken, and "baw-b-que" (barbeque)
-She is VERY into her cartoons: Dora, Blue's Clues, and Olivia. We even had to add the channels back when our "trial" with Nick Jr. expired.
-In October, we are already listening to Santa music (even though it's really Andre Bocelli) haha! She tells him what she wants every time he sings "Santa Claus is coming to town."

Baby update: Sam Nolan is kicking ALL the time. He is definitely keeping me up at night, and it's getting harder to sleep.  I am getting tired more easily, but our last appointment reassured me that hopefully my placenta is getting into a better position. The next appointment will be the ultrasound to make sure this is happening! I am 24 weeks and only have 16 more to go! :)
