Fun Family Day at Home

We were so excited to finally have a weekend off so that we could have a much-needed fun day with just CeCe and Shep. Thanks to the rain and cold, we decided an at home fun day was the way to go. The day before, I stocked up on crafts, games, candy, and all the things I thought they would love.
Turns out, a whole family fun day in our pajamas was just perfect and exactly what we all needed.

My favorite field trip for my girl

Roll Tide! What an amazing opportunity she had when the Academy at LDD took a field trip to the University of Alabama. This is where she wants to end up, her goal, this is it. She was able to tour the campus, attend a dance practice and see what Alabama dance has to offer! She’s in love, and we couldn’t be happier! 🐘♥️

Second competition- INFERNO 🔥

This girl was on absolute fire! I can’t put into words what it is like to see her on stage, but I honestly tear up at every competition. Sometimes, from the extreme amount of happiness of seeing her excel at something she loves this much and sometimes from the way she dances on stage…she looks like an angel. She was breathtaking to watch on stage and came home with all platinum scores, team wins, first overall for solo, Miss Teen title winner (which included an interview, improv competition-judged on stage that morning, and score for solo all combined), and one of the two GRAND CHAMPION winners!

Some of the girls

What a competition! 🤩 This was a total shocker for sure…but then again, it’s Delaney.
*”Play” is her fun jazz solo - choreographed by Ms. Mares
“Contamination” is a contemporary dance. It shows so much emotion. Choreography by Nick Lansziera in Los Angeles.

She puts in so much work, so I cry happy tears to see her hard work pay off.
Academy friends ♥️

One of the older girls at the academy, Karlee. Karlee helped Delaney finally get her aerial this season. So proud and happy to have a sweet and talented dancer friend we love like her!

First official Dance Competition at KAR 🤩

These dancers did amazing! I’m so proud of how hard they all work and come together on stage to perform as a team. ❤️ Such a supportive group of friends ❤️

Delaney and her friends!
She really shined! Not only is she in a higher age group (12-14), but also in a higher level of dance. We prepared her for this beforehand, so we were so excited to see her not only place first overall with her solo “Contamination”, but also win Miss Teen Dance with her solo “Play”.  Her team dances all scored elite top first and most of them placed!
