We woke him up at 5:15, dressed him, and headed off to Children's South. When we got there, he was very interested in all the gadgets. :)
What's going on??
We played with one of his favorite toys as we waited anxiously for the whole thing to be over with.
The only thing I found remotely funny was this sign that was posted in our room. This must mean more than one person would do this??!! Haha.
When he was brought out, it broke my heart to see him look so pitiful. He was also very lethargic from the anesthesia. Dr. Theos took a while longer than expected, which of course had us worried. But she took longer in order to get the stitches nice and precise and to make sure none of the cyst remained. If any was left, it could grow back...NOT good. Thankfully, he is getting better and his eye will be looking normal very soon. :)

Pooped.
And I'm not talking about the stinky kind. :) He slept until 7:00 and Eric had to wake up! Tonight, we are hoping he sleeps well because tomorrow is the big day of his dermoid cyst surgery.
*Sidenote: Yes, we could have bought him a new crib, but the teeth marks from Delaney were "memories" we couldn't let go. :) We figured Sam Nolan would add to them someday.

Back to School "Firsts"
The "Back to School" Fairy came to see us on the morning before school! This was the first time we have had a visit from her, and we were excited to see what she would bring. She even left evidence of an open window and a note written by her!
Delaney was thrilled to find the goodies.Sam Nolan thought he might get left out.
But he didn't!
He really wanted to watch his sister play with her new art supplies (and maybe play with her, too).
The remote will do for now. :)
Happy days! The first day of 3K for Delaney and baby room for Sam Nolan!
First picture with his new teachers!Delaney loves Mrs. Kimberly! She is such a sweet, sweet teacher, and even started a blog for their class www.jcak3class.blogspot.com! We are so excited that her teacher from the toddler room will be with her again! She has another teacher (Mrs. Kat), but she wasn't there in the morning.
We had a great first week at school, but we sure do LOVE our weekends we spend together! :)

7 Months for Sam Nolan
Sam Nolan turned 7 months old on Friday! He is so excited to finally have two bottom teeth. Especially since they have been bothering him for awhile now!
He's also glad to see more hair on the top of his head instead of all on his eyebrows. Gotta love a distinguished eyebrow. :)He's sitting up almost completely on his own, eating all Stage 2 foods, and beginning to babble more.
Some things he may not be too happy about at 7 months is his 8 p.m.-2 a.m. sleep schedule (or is that us?) He will also be having his eye surgery on August 28th. I looked back on Delaney's blog, and she had hers at 7 months, too!
But the best thing about being 7 months old is the ability to finally grab and play with his sister.
But she is still able to steal kisses when she wants (especially in the morning).

Sleepyheads
Quiet.
Tired.
Really?
Go to bed?
Haha! Not gonna happen.
He laughs at the thought.
He even sticks his tongue out in refusal.
It's his new thing.
Don't mess with him.
Sweet dreams.
Cute thing Delaney said this week: When eating our dinner one night, she looks at Eric and says, "God's hungry in my tummy." She says this because when she asks where God lives, we always tell her he's inside of her and in her heart. When asked if she's finished, she replied, "God in my tummy says he's full." :)
