☀️Labor Day picnic

We decided to go to Cosby lake for a picnic breakfast to start the day. It was beautiful this morning.

Then, we fed the ducks. Everyone was happy except for Shep.

Someone did NOT like the geese honking and pecking.

CeCe loved it. My girls are so adventurous! They amaze me.

❤️ Be still my heart. This moment had to be captured.❤️

Walking with their best friends.
And me walking with mine. ❤️

Thanks to a Daddy that entertains my need to document life’s sweet moments as much as possible. They fly by too fast. ❤️

Backyard Love

Going outside the way God made us. Love.
CeCe’s happy place. She could do art all day. This is the only time I really hear her talk a lot. It’s mostly whispers, but she is thinking about the colors and designs they make.

Shep’s thing. Dirt. And balls. All day, every day. Dirty.
His eyes are gorgeous. It’s hard to get a picture of how clear they can get in the sun, but they are shinin’.

My best gang. These are my people.
Ready for cooler weather, but I’ll be ready for this image in a few months when it gets too cold to go outside. :)

Shep’s day of fun!

Well, it all started with his 2 year old check up. Which is never fun. He is everything a typical two year old is: talkative, active, and crazy. :)
And he’s all boy, so he loves his daddy’s truck!! His day started out with a little ride with the windows down.pointing to the trees
Of course he gets a prize. Truck.

Then we went to the park! He had us all to himself! He told us everything he needed to say. :)
The big kids were at Destoto Caverns with Nannie and friends.

Sam Nolan received Good Citizen for his class! He got to take Huskies for the weekend. He brought the biggest one with him to take pics for his journal. We are so proud of him for getting this award, but not surprised at all. He is always thinking of others and trying his best to do what’s right. Our buddy!

New schedules!

Just when we were getting in the back to school groove, CeCe ended up with a double ear infection and felt yucky. Shep was starting to show the same signs, so I brought them both home. Three days at home with cuddles, crying (all of us!) and medicine was all they needed.
Eric and I went to the parent chat night! Sam Nolan was super excited for me to read his journal...and I found out why! This boy! 🀣🀣🀣🀦🏼‍♀️ Later, when I asked him about it, he said “yeah, the door is really heavy! Every time I open it, it hits me!” Literal. Makes it even more funny. Note to self: work on punctuation and drawing arrowsπŸ”œ. πŸ˜‚
Today, they went back to MDO! Ready for Bama football!!

Happy 2nd birthday, CeCe and Shep! Part 2

It was full day celebration! All the kids were inside and outside ALL DAY playing in the bouncy, but I never got to take a picture because it all happened so fast! πŸ˜‚
It was a sea animal themed party, so the babies loved the balloons!

We also had cookies from our favorite cookie lady in Trussville.
And snacks that were “sea” themed...

Singing happy birthday! They loved blowing out their candles and having all the attention on them. :)
They still haven’t learned how to take a picture yet, but we are getting a little better! I’ve learned to let them look however they want it the picture. :)

They both blew out their candles!

Shep was the most excited, though.
CeCe “sweet tooth” Roberts was in heaven.

Opening Nana and Grandaddy’s gifts!

It was loud, crazy, and beautiful. Everything you would expect from a two year old birthday party x2. We loved celebrating the lives of our babies (toddlers 😭). They make life way more fun.

CeCe milestone update:
She can now say SOME words on the regular, but still prefers quiet. You have to really be listening. She still loves being cuddled and being with her bunnies. She

Shep milestone update:
He can now say everything. A lot. πŸ˜‚ He says, “Come on, CeCe” which is really cute. He does enjoy annoying his sister, just to “hug” her and see everyone clap to praise him.
