Party+Dance Competition

On the Thursday before her last dance competition weekend, her dance team friends had their 13th birthday party! She had so much fun doing what they do best...dancing! A DJ, food, and friends made for a great time celebrating her buddies! 

On Friday, we traveled to Athens, GA for the last competition of the season! They killed it on stage! First place for Lose Control, second place for Brave, and third for Dance again!! Amazing!!! 

Awoo won first place (both solos got platinum but only one could place)!! She’s had such a wonderful dance season competing and learning so much! I have enjoyed seeing her grow and gain so much confidence in her dancing!

This girl loves a good art project, so days at home with Mommy always ends in crayons and coloring...

But then those little hands end up peeling the paper. 

Concentration.

I heard them laughing, then they said, “Mommy, look! We hugging!” My heart exploded. 💕 They absolutely love each other so much!

New Team, New Journey

Sam Nolan’s baseball journey is turning a new page! After being told he couldn’t pick up (even in his free time) with any team but Trussville (along with many other issues we had ever-changing rules), we had to make the decision to pull away from HBC. Tiger City is the team he had tried out for in the fall, played and practiced with, but was not able to play in a tournament with due to conflicting Trussville schedules, but this weekend he came home with some hardware! He couldn’t be happier playing with this competitive team with amazing athletes. When they can’t get a spot on the baseball field, they still practice in a grass field in Springville. :) I’m hoping one day he can read this post and remember that obstacles in life make us stronger and we will always do what is best for our kids...even if it means making others upset with us. God is guiding him. 

First tournament with this team, and they come away champions! What a fun time! He was on a fire! I felt so happy and proud for him. He works so hard, puts in the time, and definitely deserves this. 

Delaney is 12!

I can’t believe our girl is 12! She is a tough, smart, leader who does all things with all the effort! She didn’t want a party, but to have a fun “yes” day with her family. Places included: Panera Bread, Learning express, lululemon, Sugar Crestline, Village Tavern, Whole Foods, and Gigi’s Tween. She was a happy girl!! 



That night, she and her best friend, Stella, went to dinner and had a girls night! 

Shep’s First Time for Baseball!

It’s really no surprise that this one wanted to follow in his bubba’s foot steps as a baseball player! He has seen SN practice out back since he was born and now was his turn to play! He was ready for it...Freddy’s and all!

This league is for 4 year olds (some turning 5 😳), but Shep hung in there! He sure was cute with his little hat! 

They played in the dirt, laughed, and ran around which is the best part of this whole age. I loved every minute of watching him...I think because I know exactly how fast the easy-going, innocent, sweetness lasts in baseball. I want to bottle this time up.
