Mini Staycation/Father's Day 2015

We had the best time this weekend for a Father's Day/staycation. As soon as we arrived, we were ready for a swim!

He loves snacks equally as much as swimming. Maybe more.

Delaney made this all on her own without any promoting. What a sweet girl.

Ready for the movie "Inside Out" which was great!! We ate at a Japanese steakhouse after.

Today, we swam until lunch and went to Brixx to eat and then Mark's Outdoors to get Daddy's gift...and to meet a new friend.

We ate at Firebirds for dinner!
What a fun weekend together!!

Summer 2015

We decided to go to our favorite spot for a Frozen treat before we started cooking this week. Iceberg's!

The recipe for "Cookies and Cream" bars only had 3 ingredients...
She was able to do all of the work for this one!

We even tested out our new apron set!

But then this happened. Not sure what we did wrong since the recipe was so easy, but after it turned out gooey, we decided to use it on top of some ice cream, which wasn't too bad!
Later in the week, we went swimming and cleared our mind for our next recipe NEXT Monday!

Summer Fun 2015

We have been busy, busy, busy doing all sorts of things! Not sure if I blogged it, but this girl lost her first 2 teeth! This pic is after the first one popped out.

Tooth fairy goodies. She even wrote a note to the fairy.
"Tooth tokens" Sorry for the sideways pics.
This is our 2nd year to get a membership to Tville country club pool. NO one is here, so it's like it seems like it's ours. We love it!
 Swimming like a big boy.
Night out with Mommy and Daddy (sunburned nose from our anniversary at Ross Bridge) and Mizu

Today, we started our "Meal-maker Mondays". Delaney is obsessed with cooking, cooking shows, and doing it all by herself. So every Monday (since SN is at MDO), we are going to make dinner and a side or dessert. It is great, too, because we are able to work together, do math with measuring, and make dinner all at the same time. Today, we made lasagna cups, nutella brownies (not pictured, but tasty) and sugar cookies with icing.
This was a great recipe since she could do everything on her own. I only browned the meat.
We did change the recipe a little and added spinach at the bottom. I already had it from the salad we were going to eat, so we decided to sneak it in for some added nutrition. :)

Happy~ except SN...he didn't like the way they looked. Oh well, can't win them all.
It was great! Everyone (including SN after a little persuasion-cookies) ate all their meal. Now, we are going to find some more recipes using the won ton cups since they were easy to work with and easy for them to eat. Success. For today.

Delaney is 6!

Every year, we say, "How in the world could our little baby girl be another year older?"
This sweet, sassy, and perfectly smart little girl may not be a baby to anyone else anymore, but she is to us. She has shown us how wonderfully complete our lives could be. We are so incredibly thankful HE gave us Delaney 6 years ago.
Her theme this year was "Barbie and the Secret Door."
Now, we MAY have spoiled her a little on her birthday. Yeah, a LOT. She really wanted breakfast in bed on fancy dishes, so I somehow went by Panera Bread (really on accident), and decided to get her fave. Cinnamon Crunch bagel and pink lemonade for the princess. SN ate his cheerios like a champ. :)

This year, we went to Pump it Up for her bday. It was SO much fun and easy!

I love her face in this picture. She had the best time.

 So did this little man.

Her friend Sarah (on the right) has been one of her friends since 2K. They are still BFF.

 Her awesome cake!
 Happy girl

Pump It Up even took pics during the whole party without us knowing! LOVE it!

 DANCE time!!!!

Instead of toy, Eric and I decided to give her the gift she MOST loves! SWIMMING! So, we spent the night in the "castle" at Ross Bridge. She was in heaven.
This is her happy place.
Goofballs.
THEN, if all that wasn't enough, we ate lunch together on her bday and brought sprinkle donuts for the class.
After school, her "pick" was to go to Chili's. It's really just because they have electronic games at the table.
Cheese Face.
Earlier in the week, it was SN's first time on a bus. This is his cutie pie "too cool" picture. Melt my heart, he does.
