New Hobby! This is Sam Nolan's idea of extreme couponing...
He managed to devour some coupons in the one minute I didn't have my eyes on him. He got pretty dirty but sure had fun!
"What?! Just trying to find some good deals." :)
Even his little fingers and toes got in on the action.
Boy loves anything paper. I wouldn't want to see the mess a newspaper would make!

Ducks to Dolphins 2012
This summer the "three amigos" signed up for some swimming lesson! Today was their second day, and I think they were super excited to get back in the pool!
Delaney had to put on her floaties.Ashlyn jumped in the pool as soon as she could, so we didn't get a picture of the three friends, but I managed to get a quick picture of the Connor and Delaney before they followed into the pool!
Delaney floated around with a big smile on her face.
And she joined the other girls, too! There's Ashlyn!
I am so happy we are doing the lessons because I think I see some definite pool time next summer when Sam Nolan can join in! :)

Movie Time!
We usually watch the same movies at home. (Perfect photo for the description)
But today was a little more special. After church, we took Delaney to her first whole movie! Brave was the movie we picked, and Eric and I surprised her with the doll from the movie before we went in to see it. She was soo excited!
We had the best time sharing this memory with her. She wanted to show us what her new doll could do...
And pose with characters from the movie. The movie was about a princess who wanted to change her destiny and her mother who guided her in the journey to find her fate.
Our fate for the day: Spend ttime together watching a movie and eating a bunch of popcorn. Not too healthy, but delicious!!
And I was the mother who helped her. :)
This little boy didn't come with us, but had fun with Nana at home! They took naps and played. I didn't take any pictures of him then, but here are some of the Sam Nolan doing what he loves.

2012 Summer "This and That"
If we aren't out and about somewhere, we are either sleeping or sick. Which is why it has been very hard for me to take pictures of every little thing we've been doing. But I have managed to get a few quick snapshots on my phone or get them from my friends' blogs/fb posts! Here are a few of our last week's adventure to wee theatre. Connor, Cayden, and Delaney posing with one of the Billygoats and the Troll.
Troll FACE!!!
Sam Nolan thought FREEDOM! He loved being unbuckled from his seat, and started sitting up just like this. He rode like this around the shops and loved it!
Then, we made a salt dough impression with a recipe I found on pinterest. Delaney helped me knead the dough, and we put it in the oven for three hours. Sam Nolan wouldn't let me do his foot and hand, so I will have to wait until help arrives for that. But Delaney's impressions turned out pretty good! Tomorrow we will paint it!
Troll FACE!!!
On Thursdays, I pick Delaney up from JCA at lunch for some fun at gymboree with Cayden. We were able to go to the Galleria and ride the train afterwards!
Going to the Leeds Outlet mall for a quick "shopping with our eyes." Sam Nolan looks super excited in the picture. :) I told Delaney it's also called window shopping when we don't buy anything, and she told me when we left, "Mommy, I don't like shopping for windows." Haha!Sam Nolan thought FREEDOM! He loved being unbuckled from his seat, and started sitting up just like this. He rode like this around the shops and loved it!

Father's Day and Five Months
Well, it was Sam Nolan's first year to give his Daddy a gift on Father's Day!!
And he and Delaney didn't disappoint. Eric received a canopy (with a screen attachment not shown) that we will use very often this summer. I think I might have been a bit excited to get it, too.
It's the small things in life...
Our activities for the day were outside-related, and it was nice to take a relaxing break. Delaney tended to Eric's eye (he had an eye infection), by pretending to be a doctor.
Sam Nolan scooted around in his walker.
And then later on, we took pictures of our growing baby boy. His hair is finally growing in, and it's looking like it may have some red in it! Irish boy. Apparently, I hadn't bought the white onesies to fit him for the photo session. Sports onesie it is!
Our nicknames for Sam Nolan include: Shiny eyes, Gus Gus (Delaney thinks he looks like the mouse from Cinderella.Haha!), and Buddy.
Things he loves: being talked to, bathtime, seeing Delaney jump around, being tickled, the sound of a crackling bag, Eric startling him, and going for rides in the stroller.
Things he doesn't like: not being held and not being fed when he says it's time. Like mother, like son.
Favorite foods at five months include: Carrots, sweet potatoes, all the 1st stage fruits. Really everything 1st stage except sweet peas and green beans. He eats two jars of baby food at each sitting, so he's got an appetite to say the least.
He is babbling, drooling, and making bubbles with his mouth. His first tooth will be coming soon!

Delaney also answered some questions about her Daddy that made him smile. :)
But another reason why being outside was even more fun was because our air conditioner had conveniently decided to go out. So cold water, shade, and a cool breeze was needed.

Say, Cheese!!
Today, we went to see Three Billygoats Gruff at the Wee Folks Theatre (BCT). Delaney was thrilled to get her picture made, and say "cheese", with two of the Billygoats. :)
When we got home, Delaney and Sam Nolan played in one of Sam Nolan's new fave toys, his walker!
Big sis loves showing her brother how to play with his toys.
But his most favorite thing is the sound of crinkling. From trash bags, baby wipes, etc....to his toy of choice, Cheez-Its...
He has plenty of real toys to play with, but this takes the cake...
Cheese please. :)

How Sweet It Is! *Our Friday Favorites*
What could be better than ending a day with GiGi's cupcakes-our new favorite cupcake place?
Checking everything out.
Then, they spotted him.
We might even like him a little bit.
Then, we went to Gymboree. Delaney loved the instruments...
And pretty much everything.
Guess where Sam Nolan was? Right here!
Ending it with our buddy, Cayden! No, she did not have TWO cupcakes, although we did share. :)
Earlier in the week, we began our summer adventures with a stroll in our new, favorite sit and stand stroller! It's almost like driving a bus! Delaney and Cayden tested its power, so we now know it does indeed hold three babies! And Sam Nolan loves it.
Today, we went to Chuck E. Cheese (Delaney's first time). We were there early, so we missed the crowds. Also, one of my favorite things to do...can't stand crowds!
Riding Clifford!Checking everything out.
Then, they spotted him.
At first we were not too thrilled to see him.
But then he didn't seem so bad.We might even like him a little bit.
