Potty Training part one

“The book” (3 day potty training boot camp) says NO panties, small potty, night time train immediately, blah, blah, blah...we broke the rules on that. Potty training toddlers is MESSY. Messy x2. We have tried multiple ways to do it, but we are going the route we did with the older two. Regular potty, potty seats, and underwear (no pull-ups). CeCe has done AMAZING from day one. Shocked.
It’s like she knew all along we would doubt her...
This week we have relaxed, but have stayed EXTREMELY messy. Messy hair, messy outfits, just plain messy.
We’ve crafted messes.
Washed and worn the same 8 pairs of sweatpants over and over (I just plan to throw away afterwards anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️) . Laundry overload for sure.

I mean...why not? Batman slippers! He finally wants to wear them!
Messy peanut butter picnics!

And naked game playing.
It’s been real around here. But this one has now reached the “I need to potty” stage and hasn’t had an accident in 3 days! She still wears diapers at nap and night, but I call that success!
Messy training calls for messy meals!

So today, to celebrate our success, we finally got back into our “regular clothes” and tried a little.
Shep started out the day fully clothed.
But then had HIS first accident at 9:45. So we went pants-less today!
I am so proud of her and happy for her! She can officially say she was the “first” to tackle potty training.
Shep. Well. I’ve had to order waterproof seat cushions for the chairs 😂.
He has work to do. But man, he’s cute in those undies. 🥰
